At Island Adventures in Anacortes we offer you:
|
Island Adventures Whale Watching is based out of Anacortes, Washington, only 90 minutes north of Seattle and 90 minutes south of Vancouver, BC. Anacortes is located on the mainland and is known as the “Home Port” to the San Juan Islands, providing the perfect departure point for our 4-5 hour guaranteed whale and wildlife tours. Our office/gift shop and check-in facility is right on the main street (Commercial Avenue) in town — you can’t miss us! Located on Fidalgo Island (the eastern part of the San Juans), there’s no need to hassle with summertime ferry schedules, delays, inconvenient parking, or added expense; you can drive directly to us. Departing from Anacortes the water is generally calm and we’re in prime whale spotting waters just ten minutes from the breakwater! As defined by the Seattle Aquarium, we are in core orca-viewing waters as soon as we leave the marina.
Our location also allows us to choose the best route (safest and most comfortable) where we can see more wildlife on the way to the whales, unlike ferry type services who travel in straight lines offshore in order to stay on schedule. We are often cruising right near the shorelines so that we can spot as much wildlife as possible. We are a dedicated whale and wildlife watching company. If you have been on other tours around the world, you’ll appreciate the difference with Island Adventures!
Everett is the very best departure point geographically for our guaranteed Gray Whale Tours from March to early May. Embarking from the Everett Marina we can provide a more quality whale and wildlife viewing experience. On our tours, it is not uncommon to spend up to half of the trip time on scene with whales. The feeding area for the Grays is concentrated around the southeastern end of Whidbey Island, just a few miles from our dock. Our Everett location is very convenient for our guests coming from the Seattle area, only a 30 minute drive. Everett Marina provides public restrooms and several nice restaurants in the immediate area.
Located on the outskirts of the Olympic National Park and just off the iconic Highway 101, Port Angeles is a perfect destination for outdoor exploration. Our departure location is strategically located in prime whale viewing waters; from baitfish to porpoise to whales, the waters are teaming with wildlife!
Our vessel is moored at I/J/K/L dock in the Port Angeles Boat Haven on the road out to Ediz Hook.
Setting up a tour is easy, just call us at 1-800-465-4604 to reserve your tickets or reserve online. We’ll walk you through the directions on how to find us in Everett.
